Recommended OEM Mount for Blue Ox Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter BXR2100

Updated 11/12/2025 | Published 11/08/2025

Question:

I just bought a 2025 GMC 2500 HD, with the Max Tow package. The OEM goose ball sit approximately 4inch behind the rear axle. I am purchasing the Blue Ox 2100 from my RV dealer, and they are going to use a standard goose ball. This item looks like a more secure option than the standard goose ball. Is this true, and if so, will this adaptor and 5th wheel hitch work with my OEM setup?

Hey Ron, congrats on the new truck! The OEM Mount for Blue Ox Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter item # BLU62CR will indeed be a more secure connection when using the Blue Ox BXR2100 Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter our item # BLU52XR. It will indeed fit in the goose ball receiver for the GM OEM tow package.

What kind of 5th wheel trailer do you have?
