Jameson C. Thank you for your quick reply to my question. The information you provided was spot on. So another question for you. If you were to decide between the Blue OX BXR2100 and the BandW Companion hitch, which one would you prefer? Why and why not? They both look like good quality hitches.

Hey Dan glad I could help! For a truck like yours that has a B and W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch installed in it you can't beat the B and W Companion hitch # BWRVK3500 so that is what I would go over the Blue Ox # BLU52XR.

The reason being the Companion has been around long enough that we can confidently recommend it as one of, if not, the best fifth wheel hitches you can get. It's easy to use, super quiet, breaks down easy to install and remove, was designed specifically for your gooseneck hitch, and we know it's very reliable over the years.

While the Blue Ox part # BLU52XR isn't bad by any means the only advantage it has is that it can fit other brands of gooseneck and the Companion requires the B and W.
