Question:

Needing cable chains for a 2025 Ford Transit 350 dual rear tires size 205/75/16C Class B van. The owners manual states that the cables be 0.4in or 10mm or smaller in diameter. I am thinking that this dimension is the cross cable roller part. Will part no. PW 1038 fit? Only chaining outside real duals. Thanks John

Hey John, for tire chains the minimum clearance dimension is mainly for between the sidewall of the tire and the fender/wheel well as that's normally where the clearance issues arise.

The only tire chain setup we have that fits your tire size that also has the needed clearance there would be the Konig K-Summits part # th02230k55 as it's only option that doesn't drape over the inner sidewall at all.

Hey John, how did the Konig K-Summit chains work out on your Transit 350? It’d be great to know if the clearance around the fender turned out as expected. Your update could make it easier for others with the same van setup.

I did not get the Konig chains...too expensive. the ones I have tried have been too difficult for me to attach the excess cable out of the way. I will have to try a different brand.
