If Using Two MORryde X-Factors on Tandem Axle Which Hangers to Use
Published 11/04/2025 >
Question:
I’m installing two standard XFactor crossmembers on my 2022 Solitude 5th wheel with tandom axles. However, I’ve seen 3 different answers as to where to place the two crossmembers. One answer said center and rear, another answer said front and rear, and I could add a third to the center later on. And the third answer said center for sure and you customer decide either the front or rear which ever you want. Now I’m confused, where do I place just 2 of the MR33WR crossmembers. Thanks, Chuck

Hey Chuck, so there are some varying opinions on where to put the X-Factor crossmembers if you are only going to use two on a tandem setup. There's no exactly right or wrong answer but I believe the best case can be made for using the center hanger and the rear hanger.
The center hanger has connections to both the front and rear axle so that's why it's best to support that one with a crossmember. And then the rear hanger because movements towards the rear of the trailer get exaggerated so having more bracing back there will pay off more than the front.
