Hey Tom, thanks for reaching out!
You're going to need to find one of the First Gen monitors (WVOS43, WVHS43, WVOS541, WVHS541, and WVOS713) to get that camera to work. I checked and all of ours are NLA so you're likely looking at a whole new camera system, unfortunately.
For your setup I recommend picking up the Voyager WiSight 2.0 Wireless RV Backup Camera System # ASA84YR because the camera uses the same mount and wiring connections as the First Gen that you have so swapping it out will be pretty seamless. This is a wireless system as well so no wiring will be needed from the monitor in the cab back to the camera.
Did you just get camper, or did something happen that prompted needing to use the backup camera?

We bought the trailer second hand and the previous owner did not get the monitor from whom they bought the .The camera is attached to the back of the trailer and wired to ? somewhere ?. I don't know if the connection between the camera and monitor is wirelesss or if not where the wire terminates on its way to the tow vehicle. So we were just looking to buy the monitor
