Will an Air Lift LoadLifter Kit Lift the Back of a 2025 Silverado 1500 When Unloaded?

Question:

Two questions in reference to Air Lift part s 88288 and 57288. Do either raise the back of the vehicle 1 1/2 inches as I have read? Do either of these cause a rougher ride when unloaded?

Hey Joe, thanks for reaching out!

The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57288 and # AL88388 aren't designed to raise the back of your truck when filled with just the minimum 5 psi. Whether it actually raises your truck or not will basically depend on the condition of the OEM suspension on your truck. In great condition it should stay pretty level to what it already is.

Neither kit will make your ride rougher, but you might feel the internal jounce bumpers from the AL88388 kit if you hit some pretty significant road conditions like potholes, but this won't be any different than the current bump stops on your truck.

I personally like the kit with the jounce bumpers just because it gives you that extra bit of safety and peace of mind in a worst-case scenario of an air bag blowout.

Have you considered adding an air compressor kit as well?
