How Far from the Mounting Bracket is the Bottom of the etrailer Manual Sidewind Trailer Jack?

Updated 10/27/2025 | Published 10/26/2025

Question:

What are the dimensions? I couldnt seem to find them anywhere. Particularly interested in length of tube below mounting plate - I didnt want it to hang too low.

Hey Tris. I attached a diagram below that will show you the dimensions of the etrailer Manual Sidewind Trailer Jack w/ Drill Adapter item # e88GV. From the mounting plate to the bottom of the jack foot is 9-1/8".

The etrailer Manual Sidewind Trailer Jack item # e88GV is a 2,000 lbs capacity jack that fits a standard a-frame bolting pattern. It has a an outer tube diameter of 2-1/4". It comes with a 3/4" socket for drill operation.

What kind of trailer do you have?

The one I have now is 8.5" vs 9.125" Do you have any that are a bit shorter? I want the drill drive. I've purchased towsmart but quality is low and the threads bind in a way that I'm uncomfortable with. I've had one fail on me. I have a 6x12 enclosed trailer.

@Tris That's really short! I don't have a jack that short without the drill drive function. The next shortest jack I have is the Pro Series item # PSEA20000103, without the drill bit option. When you add in the Detachable Footplate item # PS1400700340, it's still 8-3/4" from the mounting bracket to the bottom of the foot. My best option is still going to be the etrailer Manual Sidewind Trailer Jack item # e88GV, if you want the drill drive.

@JerredH I'll take a look at the trailer and see if it can handle the additional length. My biggest concern is the quality of the Jack. The one that I have now is constantly feeling as though it's binding up and going to have some issues with the threads
