Will 16 inch Aluminum Trailer Wheel have 110 PSI Rating
Updated 10/13/2025 | Published 10/09/2025 >
Question:
Hi… I have a very similar trailer wheel. I would like to bump up to a g-rated load range tire but I can’t find anywhere on the wheel where it says the PSI it can handle. It is stamped on the back of the wheel that the max load is 3750lbs. Can you tell me what kind of wheel I have and if it can handle 110lbs and a g-rated load range 14-ply tire? Thank you in advance for any help. Dusty

Hey Dusty, your 16 inch trailer wheels definitely have the PSI rating for a Load Range G tire in your size of 235/85-16 like the part # LHWL410 that we offer. In almost all situations the limiting factor will be the valve stem and not the wheel and it looks like you have a higher rated one.

Outstanding.... thank you so much for your answer. That is super helpful. I wasn't thinking about the valve stem being the limiting factor. I thought the wheel would break or something. haha... Really appreciate your answer and response. Thanks again. Dusty
