Good question, Patrick!
Though the TireMinder # TM89FR and # TM38FR are very similar, there is one pretty major difference. The # TM89FR comes with standard sensors that tighten on to the valve stem and need to be removed to air up or down (see part # TM-2Brass), whereas the # TM38FR come with flow through sensors that do not need to come off to adjust air pressure (see part # TM66FR).
Other than that, they both have the same monitor, mount, batteries, tightening tool, charger, and include the signal booster. It really comes down to cost vs convenience and you will need to choose which is more important to you. Personally, I would go with the standard sensors and the # TM89FR as it is pretty easy to unscrew them to adjust the pressure and then screw them back on to check, but that's me.
What are you looking to install these on?
