Looking For Weight Distribution Shank For 2-1/2" Hitch To Use With Curt TruTrack C17500

Updated 10/31/2025 | Published 10/08/2025

Question:

i am currently using a curt 17500 hitch with a curt model 17120 shank. I want to purchase a Curt or Reese 2-1/2 inch Shank that matches the specs of the model 17120. Can you recommend one or both of those ?

Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out. We do offer a few 2-1/2" WD shanks that are similar to the Curt # 17120 you mentioned. Take a look at the following:

- Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch - 10" Rise/6" Drop # EQ90-02-4900

- BulletProof Hitches Weight Distribution Shank for 2-1/2" Hitches - 8" Long - 9 Hole Adjust # BPH75RR

WD shanks are made to a standard size and hole spacing so both of these will work with your Curt TruTrack # C17500.

Hey Michael, did one of those 2-1/2 inch shanks end up matching what you needed for your Curt TruTrack hitch? Knowing which one worked best could help others looking for the same fit.
