Question:
My lifted F-250 sits high and I worry about getting my dump trailer level. Would I be better off with the 6inch drop or the 8inch drop version of this hitch?

Renee, since your truck sits taller, the # WS59WR with 8 inch drop is likely the better choice. Level towing is critical for braking and stability, and the extra gives you that adjustment margin. Both the 6 inch # WS82ER and 8 inch # WS59WR models are rated for 15,000 lbs GTW and 1,500 lbs tongue weight on a 2inch shank, so strength isn’t a concern.
The decision really comes down to ride height. While the 8 inch should suffice, I’d measure from the ground to the top of your hitch receiver and compare it with your trailer’s coupler height when level - that’ll confirm which drop keeps you towing level.
Want me to walk you through that quick measuring process? I've attached a photo which should help, but let me know if you need more assistance on that.
