Looking For Hitch Extender Rated For Over 5,500 lbs And Can Be Used With Weight Distribution System

Im looking for a class IV hitch extender I only need a few inches that will work with a 5,500 pound trailer with 550 pounds tongue weight. Im using an Anderson weight distribution system as well. Does this hitch extension exist? Thanks

Hello Doug, thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to say that such an extension does not exist. We do carry extensions for a 2" hitch, but nothing that would allow you to use a weight distribution system with a standard 2" hitch.
The only potential option would be one of the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extensions like part # TLE1521. This would require replacing the trailer hitch on your truck with a TorkLift SuperHitch which has stacked 2" receivers. The extension is 21" long and is rated for 7,500 lbs towing or 750 tongue weight. It can be used with a weight distribution hitch. The 21" extension is the shortest they offer.
