Can GE Profile Propane RV Range Run Off of Propane Tank

Updated 10/22/2025 | Published 09/20/2025

Question:

Love the look of this small rv stove, but I live in an 1980s 10×50 trailer house we have remodeled. And we use propane. So my question is can your cooking stove and oven be used in a trailer home and be hooked to a large propane tank? Most stoves you buy anymore are made for natural gas and you get converters that just seem to not do as well. Is why we are looking for a already just made for propane Small and compact for small spaces. Just looking for now. As on the prosses of a slight remodel. The store that came with it was just to large . Thank you for your time

Hey Kathy, the GE cooktop part # GE97VR can work for you since you wanted something that runs off of propane but you would need to run it off low pressure propane through a regulator like the part # 108221. Does your propane tank have a regulator already? If so do you know what pressure?

Hey Kathy, did you get a chance to check whether your propane tank already has a regulator and what pressure it runs at? Once you know that, it’ll be easier to confirm if the GE cooktop will work smoothly in your trailer home. Let me know what you find—I’m happy to help narrow it down.

@JamesonC Thanks for your response. I know it has a regulator on it and one in the trailer. But no I don't know the pressure it runs out how do I find that Information? I know everything is expensive but wow $1500 for a stove is kind of high. I am going to keep looking hopefully I will find one as close to what you suggested. Thank you. Just to be able to bake again and cook food more than one dish at a time would be a blessing
