Video Transcript for Review of GE Appliances RV Stoves and Ovens - Range - GE97VR

Hi everyone, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at our GE Profile propane RV range. It's a freestanding RV range, four burners on top, 36 inches tall with a nice big oven as well. So with this you can cook entrees and sides simultaneously. It's gonna have a nice large four burner option on the top. So let's take a look from the top down to start off with.

So you have four burners here, nice big wide grates that come off super easy. They've got tabs here on each corner that marry up into the four holes, and you simply put 'em back in whenever you're done cleaning or whatnot, and you're good to go. So starting in the front here, this is the front right burner. This guy here is rated at 6,000 Btus. The front left is rated at 3,500 Btus.

The left rear, the biggest one out of all of 'em is rated at 9,100 Btus, and the right rear is rated at 6,000 Btus as well. Now the oven itself and that feature is rated at 12,000 Btus. Now I've got this wired up here just so we can kind of see the lighting and stuff up front. I will spin this around when we're done here, but let's go ahead and take a closer look. So I wanna go ahead and turn on these burner back lights or knob.

You simply hit the light here and if you saw those lit up off, on. And then you also have a button here for the oven light and I'll go ahead and shut off the overhead lights so we can see that better. So again, the knob lights here off, on, and then whenever you turn 'em on, you can hear the clicking probably. There we go. And they basically say that same lit up color there.

So very nice feature. And again, the oven, open it, got the light in there as well. Again, simple push of the button to turn that off or on. So let's turn overhead lights back on and take a look at this. So I've got about a half sheet in here, so I wanna go ahead and measure this real quick just to give you an idea of potentially what you could fit. I got 18 inch long by 13 inch wide. So again, I can't fit it in sideways real easy. It kind of does, but it's a tight fit. But if I turn it this way, it looks like it's sticking out over the edge, but the door does close without touching and it's sealed up very nice. So that's probably about as big as you're gonna fit, which I think is pretty impressive. So I'm gonna put that on the top here. These wire racks are removable and you can change them adjustable height to whatever fits your needs. Now the very bottom's pretty neat. You simply push in, it's spring loaded, it's gonna have some more storage space. I was able to set a few more pans and stuff down in there, and then you can just pop that close with a simple push. So I do wanna go ahead and turn the power off to this real quick and then spin it around for you so you can see it in action. So again, 36 inches tall, 24 inches on a depth, and then 24 inches on a width as well. Now keep in mind, I just measured the top of the most flat part. I didn't go up here, I didn't go on top of the grates. So realistically, probably closer to 38 inches tall overall, somewhere in there. You got your wires here, positive and negative. That's how we were powered it up back there with a box today, and you've got your propane hookup right back there. It does use liquid propane. It is factory set ready to go out of the box for that. This whole thing weighs about 120 pounds whenever it's fresh out of the box. And it is a very nice propane range and oven as well. So again, very nice. It's gonna fit perfectly in the tight RV kitchens because it's freestanding and it's compact, but not too compact. It is easy to clean. There's an enamel interior that's gonna simply wipe really clean and the whole thing's nice and durable as well. Well folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thank you so much for joining today. I hope this information's been helpful. Real quick before we go, it does also come with the brackets here included and some hardware for mounting it along with the instructions. That way you can mount that to where it's not gonna slide out of place or anything as you're traveling down the road. As always, we welcome your feedback. Let us know what you like, maybe what you don't like, what can the manufacturer improve on, if anything, and send us some photos of it installed. Have a good one.

I have a GE Profile (full size) at home and it function beautifully. I was very excited to see the little brother available from etrailer. My 5th wheel came with a Furrion and....well, that's why I bought this unit. i will install this in about a month from now when i get my tools down here in FL. I will give an update at that time.

by:

Better use of space within, lighting is a nice upgrade, burners light right up evenly, very pleased, Thank you, G.E.

by:

I absolutely love my new stove, thank u for all your help!

by:

I do like the 4 burner but putting the large bunner in the rear could be change

by:

It was great working with Josh. When there was a question about delivery he was right on it. Thanks!

by:

We loved it! It will be wonderful to have a working oven while camping so we can enjoy fresh hot cinnamon buns while having our coffee and enjoy the natural beauty around us! Install was easy and clearly written. It is a beautiful cooktop/oven!

Quick delivery! Great deal on product

by:

Perfect fit
And great upgrade to old
unit. Love it

Perfect fit upgraded replacement. Wish I had swapped out the Furrion years ago. This is the oven that should be standard in all RV's. It just works!!! The small extra clearance on the range top grate allows your pot to simmer and not burn. The oven bakes bread uniformly, not just burning the top or bottom. So pleased with this. I wasted countless hours and around $200 trying to repair the Furrion, when I should have just bought this first.

William did an excellent job handling my order and was very knowledgeable! Thanks, William.

by:

Would’ve been better but it came damaged… got a big dent in the back of the stove and cut my finger open. But other than that beautiful stove

by:

Delivered fast ! Can't wait to install

by:

Installation was easy. Have only tested it at this point, but it held the temperature at 350 for at least an hour. So much better than my previous Furrion oven that wouldn't hold the set temp. Appreciated being able to chat with the staff about the ovens, and their shipping and order handling was superb.

by:

I had too return due too damage. William took care of this problem right away new one has arrived in great condition thank you very much. The second shipment came but packaging was in pretty bad shape but contents were fine. Maybe better packaging would save a lot of return problems with heavy items but again thank you very much

by:

great product at a fair price and super quick shipping and delivery could not be happier

by:

Very nice looking stove. I have been wanting to replace a Attwood 1733 for a few years. Could not find one that fit the same space, until I found this one. It fit in the same spot with no modifications except for the gas line needed to be bent a little. Really like the cast iron grate. Very happy with it.

by:

The RV Range was shipped and arrived shortly after placing the order. the crate was intact with no apparent damage to the range. Because thee range will not be installed for several months it will remain in the unopened crate. I do appreciate the follow up and ease of working with e-trailer. They are a great company, I fully expect to use them again.

by:

Shipping was fast. Fits right in where the old one was. Looks great.

by:

Finally, A higher end range for RVs! Some parts were damaged during shipping to Alaska, but etrailer got me replacement parts.

by:

Great service, delivered on time. Easy installation, our new stove is working well!

I like how this GE stove actually feels like a real home appliance, not just something made to fit in an RV. We’ve been cooking on a tiny three burner stove and mini oven for almost four years, and honestly, it worked but it wasn’t great. This upgrade has changed our life because now we can cook and bake like we do at home. The first thing we made was a pumpkin pie, and the whole RV smelled like the holidays. I love that it heats evenly, has more space, and just makes everyday cooking easier. Check out our Youtube or Instagram "Stay in Your Lanier" for RV content!

by:

First impressions are very positive. Range looks like it belongs and even matches the GE convection/microwave. Top burners have a nice clean flame and a good simmer temperature. The oven comes up to proper temperature and does a great job baking bread. We will need a few years of use for a better assessment but is a major improvement over the Suburban range we replaced. Installation was easy.

by:

Purchased to replace an insignia range that was less than 2 years old. It fit perfectly in the available space.

My only issue so far is lighting the oven. It is hard to see if it has ignited. I end up removing the bottom cover when lighting it.
