Is Temp Sensor Still Located in Ceiling Plenum for Furrion Chill Cube AC Units?
Updated 09/29/2025 | Published 09/10/2025 >
Question:
Has Furrion fixed the short cycle issue with its ac units? People seem to think the units work well yet the location of the ambient air temp sensor is a design flaw. Everything Ive read so far says the sensor is still located in the plenum. Is this true?

Hey David!
The Furrion Chill Cube # FR99TD temp sensor is now in the thermostat controller so that isn't an issue anymore.
I reached out to my contact at Furrion who confirmed this, but also said part of the issue they were seeing was the AC was designed to keep the fan constantly running to help circulate the air and get a better temp reading.
Either way, the temp sensor is in a better location so you can be confident this will work better.
