Where is Temperature Sensor in Furrion Chill Cube Thermostat

Updated 09/30/2025 | Published 09/08/2025

Question:

Is the thermistor for the Furrion Chill 18K located in the wall thermostat for both A/C and furnace? I have seen some videos that indicate the A/C thermistor is located in the return air. Also, there are comments that the Follow Me option of the remote requires line of sight which could be a problem. I would like to replace the Coleman Mach on my 2022 Winnebago Sunstar with a more efficient unit, but no headaches.

Hey Craig, the sensor for the thermostat in the Furrion Chill Cube part # FR69TD is in the air distribution box but the remote that comes with it can be used as the thermostat as long as you are within 26 feet and like you mentioned have a clear line of sight.

Hey Craig, did you decide to go with the Furrion Chill for your Winnebago Sunstar? I'm curious if the setup worked smoothly for you, as it could help others looking to upgrade their A/C units.

@JamesonC Yes, I tried to purchase the A/C kit from etrailer, but it showed a delivery date of 12-27-25 (3 months out) so I purchased it from another vendor. The installation is straight forward and went well. However, it appears there is a problem with the thermostat as it will not control the furnace. Also, the fan runs anytime the unit is turned on, no matter if the compressor is running or not. I assume these issues are related and have contacted Lippert, but have not received a response. For now, I have reinstalled the original Coleman-Mach thermostat to control the furnace and use the remote for the A/C.

@CraigG I totally understand with that big of a delay. We've had some people tell us they had to run their furnace to a different thermostat so that's frustrating to hear as we were told it should work. The fan does run so that the thermostat can get an accurate air reading.
