Availability Of 4-1/2" Long Pin Lock For Coupler

Updated 09/03/2025 | Published 08/29/2025

Question:

Hello, I have several locking couple pins made by CT Johnson, and Im wondering if its possible to get one with a 4.25 or longer span. Do they make a pin that long that would work with my existing locks?

Hey Larry, what size hitch do you have? It looks like you have a 3" receiver opening since you were looking at the Lets Go Aero 3" Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock (Also fits 2" and 2-1/2" with adapters) # LGA32ZR. This would work just fine since it has a 4-3/8" usable span.

We also have the Blue Ox Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # BX88212 which is 5/8" diameter and it has a span of 4-3/8" just like the Lets Go Aero. This is not an anti rattle style, but just a lock.

What exactly were you looking for? Anti Rattle or just a lock?

Just a lock, but one that will open with the key I already have for my 4 coupler locks and two receiver pin locks. This pin is for the adjustable portion of an Anderson adjustable drop hitch. It requires 4.25” useable span. Can either of the locks you suggest come keyed to match my other locks?

@LarryC Oh okay sorry for the misunderstanding. Unfortunately we won't have a way to match anything to the key code you currently have. You may be able to reach out to CT Johnson or wherever you purchased those locks from to get something matched up. The only solution we can offer at this time is the Rapid Hitch Trailer Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches # AM3492 which is probably similar to what you have, and it comes with one lock for the hitch and one for the adjustable portion for Andersen drop hitches, and they are keyed alike to the same key (not going to match the key you have though). Sorry this isn't quite what you're needing, Larry.
