Question:

I have a 2020 Ram 2500 Power Wagon. Im trying to decide between the triple ball with a 5 inch vs 7 inch . The truck comes with a 2 inch lift from the factory. My main concern is it hanging too low and dragging on some boat ramps. However, I also want to make sure I have enough options for future trailers. If Ive measured correctly the 5 inch should work for my current boat, which sits at 23 inches vs. the 25.5 inch height of hitch on truck.

In regards to the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount part # BWTS10048B for 5" or part # BWTS10049B for 7", the distance from the top of the shank to the bottom of the upright while the hitch balls are stowed away is 8.5" for the 5" drop version and 10.5" for the 7" drop version. If you were towing with the hitch balls in the lowest position that would reduce ground clearance by another .5". This should then help with your decision.
