Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a look together at this UWS Narrow Crossover, Low Profile, Slim Line Series truck bed toolbox in this gloss black finish. Now this is a crossover, saddle style truck toolbox that's going to mount across the bed rails right behind the cab of your truck. And this is designed to give you secure, easy to reach storage without taking up bed floor space. Now before we go any further, let me give you some measurements here.

I went ahead and measured this before our time together. So looking at the overall length from end to end, and I'm talking about the lid here itself, so measuring the longest point here, that would be the lid, we're sitting pretty close to 63 7/8 inches long, end to end. And then measuring the width, not including the lid but just the box itself, it's gonna be about 12 inches wide. If you include the lid, a little over 13 inches wide. And then the height, again, this is just gonna be for the box, not including the lid, about 9 1/4 inches tall.

And then if you include the lid, let me see what you get real quick. I failed to remember to measure, remember that measurement rather. We're sitting about 10 1/2, 10 3/4 inches tall if you include the lid. So you do want to allow about an extra inch of clearance for this lid to open properly. Now this box is made (fingers thumping) of extra thick aluminum with fully welded seams.

So this is gonna be lightweight but really strong, and you're not gonna have to worry about rust or corrosion because it is constructed of durable aluminum. The aluminum tub is 0.058 inches thick, which is gonna be sturdier than what you find on most standard toolboxes. And on top of that, this does have this glossy black powder coat finish. It's gonna look great right out of the box. And I think it's gonna hold up pretty well for you as well.

Now I wanna give you a close up right here. This, as I hope you can see here, the security and reliability were clearly prioritized by UWS. This box has heavy duty stainless steel latches on both sides. So we're looking at the driver's side one here. And the lock is on the driver's side latch. It does include these two keys to lock it. (latch clicks) You'll just give the lock a turn, just like that. That's going to lock both of those latches. And then to unlock it, you'll just stick the key back in and then turn it back that way, so it's about a quarter of a turn. And then that's going to unlock both of the latches. Inside, there's a connecting rod enclosure, which is gonna prevent tools from shifting around and bending or jamming the locking system, which is great. And then let me just show you how easy this is gonna open. (metal clanking) So just pop that latch, pops it open just like that. I'm gonna go ahead and close it, (lid clanks) and then I'm just gonna pop it open by this latch as well, just to show you that one (metal clanking) or the other latches will open that up. But you do have to use this side to lock it, 'cause obviously that is where the lock is going to be. While I've got the lid open here, I wanted to show you, and hopefully you can see that we do have a full length gasket that's going to seal the lid to keep water, dust and mud from getting into the box. So that's going to make this dependable in rough weather or job site conditions. And then let me give you an overhead look. Again, I know that it might be kind of hard to see just because it's dark inside, but we do have a tool tray here (metal grinding) that's going to slide back and forth here. You can put little things in here that you need to have easily accessible. And this is also removable, so if you don't like that in there, you can just easily slide that out. I've got the instructions here at the bottom to hopefully, so you can kind of get a sense of the depth here that we have here. This is gonna give you about 3.4 cubic feet of usable storage space. So all that to say this is gonna be plenty for your hand tools, your straps, job essentials, and then, I think you can see that internal rod enclosure here as well. So you can see the latch is moving and you see the rod here and here, and then it's enclosed in the center. So when you're throwing things in there, you're not gonna have to worry about that, that rod becoming damaged. So I really do like that feature from UWS. Now this is, installation's gonna be pretty straightforward. You're gonna get the J-bolt mounting hardware, along with gaskets. And then the instructions there at the bottom will walk you through the relatively simple installation process. And then one thing I wanted to mention that I really appreciate about UWS is their lid. One of the standout features is that it uses a beveled ridge core design. So the lid is built from thick aluminum plates, but in addition to that, it's filled with hardened foam. So I don't know if you can see it, but we do have these caps here on the inside of the lid. And especially on this one, you can see a little bit of foam oozing out of that cap. Those are the ports that they use to fill the inside of the lid with that hardened foam. And so that foam is going to prevent warping or bending over time, and it's going to keep this lid opening and closing smoothly. So that's a real plus. I really do love that. And so that lid's really gonna hold up well (hand knocking) over time. Very durable. I'm unable to give this a full 360 because of the size of my studio here and the wall here, but we do have a piano hinge here at the back that's going to be durable and hold up really well for you during all the times that you're gonna open and close this. And it's gonna allow this to be opened and closed very easily. And then we also have those heavy duty gas cylinders that's going to help (lid clanking) that lid lift easily and stay open so you can get what you need. And then when you're done, you're just going to give it a close, just like this. (lid latching) So again, really a quality box from UWS. It seems like they have really thought a lot of the features through to make this not only a durable box, but also a box that's gonna be very practical for you, and I think relatively easy to install as well.
