Is The VanTred Custom Floor Mat for Cargo Vans VTFT15M Good For Sliding Loaded Pallets?

Question:

Pallet loading and unloading. Will a pallet slide on the surface of this mat without dislodging it or bunching up when loading?

Hello Tracy, good question. The VanTred Custom Floor Mat for Cargo Vans # VTFT15M is made of a 1/2" thick thermoplastic. As far as sliding cargo over it, you can do that with items with a more smooth bottom like coolers or storage bins. Wooden pallets can be pretty rough and jagged on the bottom so a loaded pallet would be a lot more likely to catch on the mat and cause it to dislodge and bunch up. Even more so if the pallets are really loaded down. Using something like furniture slider pads would really help things slide more smoothly and protect the mat.

Hey Tracy, did you try using furniture slider pads with the VanTred mat to help with sliding the pallets? I'm curious to know if that worked for you, as it could really help others with similar needs.
