Question:
We have a 2025 Rockwood Minilite 2109s travel trailer. The underbed storage has an air-strut support, which isnt strong enough to hold the lid and mattress up. Suggestion on replacement one that is more capable?

Hey Jimmy, congrats on the new trailer. We've had customers install gas shocks like the 20" Extended, 11.41" Compressed - Black Nitride item # 372-2300-100 to help them lift their mattresses. These are designed for storage doors so they work great on setups like yours. You can use the Gas Shock Mounting Brackets item # 372BR-1020 or item # 372BR-1060.
What size mattress do you have?

Hello, Jerred. Thank you for your recommendation. I've not yet purchased the gas shocks to known if they work as hoped. We have a short queen. There are shocks installed from factory, but they only hole the lid up, not support the weight of the mattress.

Hey Jimmy, did the gas shocks and mounting brackets work out for your underbed storage? I'm curious to know if they helped with lifting the mattress, as it might give others confidence in using them for similar setups.
