Troubleshooting B&B Flusher System Not Working

Updated 08/11/2025 | Published 08/09/2025

Question:

I have this system installed on my 14 Keystone Sprinter TT 295-RKS and it doesnt seem to be plumbed to the tank. It never has accepted water and when I removed the hose, water blasts back out under pressure. I recently tried to run a diagnostic scope into the Pass Side fitting but the head only goes in 6inch before it stops and no longer fits into the fitting/PEX Line if its even there. I also tried to run metal wire into the fitting/PEX line and it stops in the same place, 6inch in. My Bathroom is directly inside the wall from the fitting so I assumed the check valve would be under the sink or shower, but there is no check valve to be found. ping the coroplast to gain Black Tank access there would be a chore as the Propane gas line runs along the frame rail and pins the coroplast even after removing the coroplast screws. Any ideas...? Ive given up trying to use it at this point and run a hose into the toilet instead when flushing the black tank.

Hey SMD, good to hear from you again!

The B&B RV Flusher System w/ Plastic Check Valve # BM85RR has a pretty specific installation setup, so I'd compare what you have to the linked photo from the instructions.

Does yours look like this, or were you trying to say you can only trace it so far? If you aren't able to inspect the whole thing, you might need to have a tech look at it, as you've already tried everything I know to do, aside from getting in there and taking things apart.

Found the problem today and repaired it. The Vacuum Breaker valve was located behind the shower faucets in the wall just inside and above the exterior wall mounted inlet valve. The installer used a short section of 1/2" Flex line connected to the Inlet Valve, through the wall, then bent upwards to a 90 Degree PEX fitting (instead of a straight barbed coupler) then to a 24" section of 1/2" PEX tubing. The Flex line was twisted and bent in such a way that it kinked @ a 90 Degree angle about 6" inside the wall. That's why the wire I inserted couldn't go any further, and no water ever made it past the 90 degree kink either. Nice install job...! Hasn't worked since it left the factory, and no one at the dealer ever QC'd it either at delivery... I fixed it by installing 1/2" PEX fittings, a 1/2" x 1/2" PEX 90 Elbow and some 1/2" PEX line I had left over from plumbing my house years ago. Thanks again for the diagram, it helped a lot.

@Smd So happy to hear that you were able to get this all figured out! It's really frustrating when the dealers miss (or don't catch) things like that, but I'm glad you stuck with it and were able to fix it!
