Question About Using Kuat Sherpa SH22P On 2021 Ford F-150

Question:

Hello! In your kuat sherpa video with the white Ford f150, the woman shows if you fold the rack forward, it allows the tailgate to open completely. Do you folks have some type of hitch extension installed with the rack to allow this? I have the exact same Ford f150 and sherpa rack and no matter what I do, the tailgate wont go down the whole way. Just curious how you folks achieved this. Hello Daniel, thanks for reaching out. I looked over that video you mentioned. There is no extension or adapter or anything like that used in the video. It is just the Sherpa rack going straight into the 2" receiver. The only thing I can think of is your truck may have a slightly different trailer hitch that causes things to line up differently.

Hey Daniel, did you find a solution for getting your tailgate to open completely with the Sherpa rack? I'm curious to know if you discovered anything that might help others with the same setup.
