Troubleshooting BAL 5.1 Stabilizer Jack System Not Moving Up or Down Manually
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 08/02/2025 >
Question:
I have the BAL 5.1 5 rv stabilizer jack stuck in the down position. I tried to manually override by using the crank but it won’t budge either way. There is no pressure on the Jack. Please advise. Thank you! I’ve taken the leg apart and secured it but can’t I crank it?

Hey Steven, thanks for reaching out!
I was able to find the user manual online for your BAL 5.1 Stabilizing System and according to the troubleshooting steps it sounds like you need a new coupler that sits between your motor and the drive screw. This is part 21700072 and you'll need to get it from BAL directly.
