Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Lippert replacement low-profile plunger bolt. This is going to replace one of the low-profile plunger bolts that you need on your Lippert components solid step 3.0 RV stairs.While this is a very small component, it is very important because it's, what's going to help hold your stairs up to your door so that they're not falling down when you open up the door, potentially causing injury, or, just rattling around as you're traveling.This is going to mount onto the solid step. That's going to attach to your latch, which allows you to latch and unlatch the steps from your door so that you can lower them or raise them back up into place.This is going to allow you to not have to worry about your stairs falling. It is a direct replacement for the original component, it's made from Lippert, so it's got the exact same mounting locations, all the same functionality and everything.This piece will go in when you're putting the stairs up in place against the door.
And then when you're ready to pull them down, you'll pull on your grab handle, which will pull that side back and allow them, the stairs to come back down to be used.This kit only comes with the one plunger. However, it works on either side, just depending on how you have it oriented. So if you need both plungers replaced, you can just order two of the same part number and you'll be set.That completes our look at the Lippert replacement low-profile plunger bolt..
The Lippert 4.0 steps on our New 2025 Colman Lantern 29 RKS only had a storage latch on one side. This was efficient, but I wanted a latch on both sides, so this was a perfect match, and now it makes me happy! Great product.
The part worked great, just like the original. It would have been nice if it was packaged with the mounting hardware since the old one was riveted on.

Hard to find item and does fit perfect but it arrives with corrosion and doesn’t come with necessary hardware. Adding the hardware even if you have to bump the price a little would be helpful.
