I need a tow bar to pull my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport behind my RV. It has an aftermarket bumper, I can send pictures. I looked at the Blue Ox Adventurer but I’m unsure if that’s the answer. Can I send pics to someone who can help me? Thanks. Doug Atkinson

Hello Doug, thanks for reaching out. It is possible to connect a tow bar to an aftermarket bumper with D-rings. Blue Ox actually makes D-ring adapters that work with their tow bars. Take a look at the following:

- Blue Ox Off-Road Bumper Adapters for Blue Ox Motorhome Mounted Tow Bars - 1" D-Rings # BX88358

I believe this is what you are looking for but if your bumper has a different kind of attachment tab just let me know. As with any aftermarket bumper, you will need to confirm with the manufacturer that your bumper is rated for flat towing.

Are you needing the rest of the parts for your flat tow setup? The Blue Ox Adventurer # BX7322 tow bar could work but this is definitely a budget option and it would not work with the D-ring adapters I mentioned. Personally I would recommend a better option like the Ascent # BX4370.
