Hello Bart,
Yes, you can use the Rhino-Rack Ski and Fishing Rod Carrier - Locking - 2 Pairs of Skis or 4 Fishing Rods # RR572 on the ARB Base Platform like # ARB25GR by adding the Top Channel Adapters for ARB Base Platform Racks - Qty 2 # ARB86ZR.
The # ARB86ZR makes it so you can use T-Slot accessories. I attached the portion of the instructions for the # RR572 on how to use the T-bolt that comes with the ski/fishing rod carrier. I attached a video where my friend Evangeline will show you how they work.
So what are you looking to use this more for, fishing rods or skis? I skied quite a bit as a kid, but these days it's fishing rod in hand. I like to dabble in some local bass tournaments here in Missouri at the Lake of the Ozarks, but mainly Mark Twain Lake in the summer.

Hi Kate, thanks for the detailed reply, much appreciated. I already have the ARB top channel adaptors however would assume I need the Tslot M8 bolts so can attach it to roof rack. I would be using for fishing rods however kids would you it for skiing gear. cheers Bart
