Today, we're gonna take a look at this Replacement Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount Shank for a two inch hitch, has a 12 1/2 inch drop, and a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now, this will replace the shank from your Gen-Y Adjustable Ball Mount with stacked receivers. It is a solid shank here that'll slide into your two inch hitch receiver on your vehicle, and if you noticed, this offers you six stacked two inch receivers, and that'll let you mount a ball mounted bike rack or other hitch mount accessory to your vehicle. The adjustable height will let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle, so it works well if you have a lifted truck. And the ball mount that you can insert in here, it can be lowered or raised to match your application.
Maximum drop on this shank is 12 1/2 inches. This is a heavy-duty steel construction, it's ideal for towing extra large loads, has a nice zinc primer and powder coat finish to resist corrosion. Now, when you do install this into your vehicle, it will require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for securing it to the vehicle. Those are not included, we do sell those items separately on our website. The diameter of the hitch pin hole they would go into is 5/8 of an inch.
Now, this is SAE J684 certified, it is made in the USA. Few specs on this again, the application is two inch by two inch trailer hit receivers, gross towing weight capacity of 10,000 pounds, and a tongue weight capacity of 1,500 pounds. Now, one thing I do wanna mention is this ball mount does have many different dimensions to it, so I do recommend for you to go to the product page of this part to verify any dimension that you might be needing for your application. This is great for big rig RV's. I can carry my small motorcycle in the top, and pull my jeep wrangler in the middle.
