2018 Ford F150 Platinum. Will this assembly work on my tailgate? It is a one-piece tailgate. I currently have a open assist strut that keeps it from slamming down, but does not assist with raising the tailgate. Thanks for your assistance. Tailgates are very heavy and require 2 hands to raise.

It appears that I didn't state my question accurately. I am looking for help in RAISING my tailgate. I already have a strut that helps with the LOWERING of the tailgate. I was asking if the Hopkins EasyLift would work on my 2018 Ford F150 to raise the tailgate. Thank you. Larry
