Replacement Converter Charger for a Magnetek Series 6300 model 6325 Charging LiFePO4 Batteries

Updated 07/09/2025 | Published 07/05/2025

Question:

I have a older magnetek series 6300 model 6325 25 amp converter / charger. Im upgrade my battery to lifepro4 12v 300ah battery. I was wondering if I should replace the whole power station or can I just replace the converter. I see you have different products. Thanks

Hey Gary, thanks for the information. Since you've upgraded to LiFePO4 batteries, I recommend upgrading your converter to the Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger item # PD79RR. This delivers 60 amps of DC charging power at 14.6 volts DC, which is exactly what you need for charging Lithium batteries.

What kind of trailer or RV do you have?

@Gary After hearing about how old your trailer is and it being sitting for so long I do think it would be a good idea to replace the entire distribution panel. You can replace it with the Progressive Dynamics 4000 Series RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel item # PD4060K.
