Do I Need a Ducted Furrion Chill Cube System to Use a Remote?

Question:

For the furrion chill cube, do you need the ducted system or can you use the wall thermostat instead?

Hey Peter. It depends on how you're wanting to control your AC and whether or not you have a furnace. The Thermostat for Furrion Chill Cube item # LC74DX only works with the ducted Chill Cube Air Box like item # LC64DX. You can get both of these with the Furrion Chill Cube RV AC w Air Distribution Box, Thermostat item # FR49TD.

If don't have a furnace and you're not worried about a thermostat you can get the Furrion Chill Cube RV Air Conditioner w Air Distribution Box item # FR39TD. You'll be able to adjust the settings with the included remote or on the air distribution box itself. You can always add the item # LC74DX down the road.

Both of these ducted Furrion Chill Cube setups are 18,000 btu systems that come with the new R32 refrigerant. Please note that the new Furrion Chill Cube is not backwards compatible with any other AC system components you currently have in your Jayco travel trailer.

What kind of AC system do you have now?

Hey Peter, did you decide on a setup for your Furrion Chill Cube? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others make a similar choice.
