Looking for Smaller Hitch Pin for Bike Rack for 2 inch Hitch

Updated 06/17/2025 | Published 06/12/2025

Question:

Hello. I have a 2” Curtis hitch for my 2022 bronco. The bike rack I used with it has a smaller diameter hole than 5/8. Do you have a locking hitch pin that is less than 5/8. I tried bulletproof locking pin. It fits great through the hitch itself but not the rack holes. Thank you for your help! Marlon

Hey Marlon, it sounds like your bike rack might have a threaded hitch pin that allows you to tighten the shank of the rack to the hitch tube and get rid of unwanted movement of the rack in the hitch. So what we would need to know is the brand of your bike rack and the model to see if we have a replacement threaded hitch pin for it that would work.

The e-bike rack brand is mototote. The model is the mini dual. It has a threaded hitch pin but it’s different than most brands designs. It does not thread into the shank but into a bolt type lever. The pin is called “ZeroWobble”. Looking forward for your recommendations. If you do have recommendations please make sure it can accommodate extra heavy weight. Both my e-bikes combined weight is 350lbs on that specific rack. Marlon

@MarlonG I wish we carried that brand so we could get the replacement hitch pin you need but since we do not we can't get it. You'd need to check with Mototote for that.

@JamesonC I did reach out to them. They don’t have a locking pin and won’t recommend any also. They said just put a chain and lock it.

@MarlonG That is a bummer. We do have a 3 foot long cable padlock with the part # RKY3700 if you didn't want to have to remember a key.
