Question:
Hi, I purchased a second rigid solar panel for my 2023 GeoPro G19FD and have a question about mounting screws. My mount came with 1.25 inch stainless steel self tapping screws, but Im concerned that theyre too long and may go thru the roof. Can you tell me the length I should be using and can I safely use the supplied screws ? Thanks.

I don't have anyway of knowing how thick the roof of your camper is Rick but I can not see 1-1/4" screws penetrating your roof especially after passing through the mounting bracket. We've never had any issues with the screws that come with the Go Power Panels like item # 34282181. They are a bit smaller at 10-16 x 1” and have a disclaimer saying not to use them in roofs thinner than 1/2"
We recommend the Replacement Mounting Hardware for Go Power Rigid Solar Panels item # 34272708, which has 6 of the #10-16 x 1” screw.
If you're really worried about it you can back out one of the screws already installed on your other panel and measure it. If not you'll have to call Forest River.

Jerred, Great advice, being a newbie I was unsure how thick the roof in RV's were and if there was cause for concern. After reading your reply I decided to be safe and went with 10-16 x 3/4 and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the advice ! -Rick
