Question:
I have a triple axle 2021 Momentum 397thfifth wheel RV. I have Dexter 4000 springs on it now. I need to replace 1 spring, but will change both on that axle. Any reason to not use a pair of these springs instead of a pair of Dexter springs?

Hello Steve, thanks for reaching out. In my honest opinion, leaf springs are leaf springs. There is not going to be a noticeable difference in quality or longevity between the different brands. As long as the length of the spring is correct and the weight rating is correct, you will be just fine.
I see you were looking at a 24-7/8" long double eye spring for an 8,000 lb axle. Our most cost effective replacement for that is the following:
- 7-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 8,000-lb Trailer Axles - 24-7/8" - Black # e89FV
It is recommended to replace all six leaf springs at once. That way everything is completely equal and they will wear evenly and be on the same maintenance schedule. You do not want to re use the U-bolts so you will need new ones. For that use part # APUBR-35 (one kit per axle).
