Hey Paul, having the hitch ball height right around 20 inches or so would work fine. It doesn't have to be super exact but if you can shoot for same dimensions when the trailer is level and truck is unloaded you'll be fine. So 19.5 to 20 inches will be great. What is the distance from the top of the trailer hitch opening down to the ground? With that dimension I can let you know exactly how much rise/drop you'd need.

The factory specs state the trailer hitch height which is from the ground to where the top of the ball should be is 19.5" and to figure between .75 to 1" when hooked up to my truck. So I have the truck hitch height at 20.5", unloaded. Does that sound about right?
