Does Primus IQ Brake Controller and P3 Use Same Install Connector

Question:
I have a 2006 GMC 2500 with factory 7-way. It currently has a Tekonsha Primus IQ, but at some point the manual override button was broken off. I want to upgrade to the Tekonsha Prodigy P3. Since I am staying with Tekonsha, will the wiring adapter for the IQ be able to be used for the P3?

Hey David, yes the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 uses the same exact install harness as your Primus IQ so it will easily install in place of what you have by simply plugging in. How did you like the Primus?

The Primus IQ was in the truck when I bought a few years back. Seemed ok, but on 1 trailer it will lock the brakes up with very low gain, but on another trailer, even at max gain, I am not sure it does much. But I like the user settings for the P3 so I can set the gain to each trailer and not have to keep guessing if I have the thumbwheel dialed in.
