Question:
I removed the Tekonsha P3 from my 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali and want to install it in my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD. it looks like the wiring harness for the 02 is different then the 06. The item number for the 02 is 3015P and the 06 is 3025P. whats the difference as the 2015P plugs into the port on the 06?

The difference between the # 3025-P and the # 3015-P is the pin locations of the wires on the orange connector. The reason for this is because the orange connector on 3025-P is wired to work on most GM vehicles from 1999-2002, such as your 2000 Chevy Pickup. The 3015-P is wired to work on most GM vehicles from 2003-2006. The orange connector on both harnesses are the same, but the pin locations for the different wires are different.
To get your # 3025-P to work on your 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 all you have to do is move the red wire of the orange connector to the opposite corner's pin location.
To get the pins out of the connector you will need something skinny like a small slot screwdriver. You will take the screw driver and push up on the little clip on the connector side of the connector, this will release the wire so it will be able to be pulled out of the back of the connector. To put the pin back into the right connector, you will simply push the wire and pin through the back of the connector until the lever clicks into place.
