Hey Jacqeuline,

We do have some options for you for a roof basket that fits your crossbar spread. A great option that I recommend is the Thule Cargo Basket # TH859XT. This is a great medium size option for your CRV and is going to fit crossbar spreads of 20"-37". It has a 150lb capacity as well, great for all the extra cargo you need to put up there.

If you wanted something with more room for cargo I recommend # RRRMCB03, Rhino-Rack XTray. This is going to work with your crossbar spread and offer more room if you are needing to put more cargo up there. With the same capacity as the previous one I mentioned this is going to be great for that larger cargo like coolers, tents, duffle bags or whatever you may need. Both baskets will work with any type of crossbars including factory ones if your CRV came with a factory roof rack.

What type of cargo are you needing to move onto the roof?

Hey Jacqeuline, Did the Rhino-Rack Cargo Basket work out for your CRV's crossbars? I’d love to hear how it fit and if it helped with your cargo needs, as it could give others confidence when choosing a basket.

@JacquelineR It worked out GREAT! I love it! And it looks really cool too. I taken two camping/rafting trips this summer and plan a few more. However, last week I was rear-ended and it spun me around 3x, (it was a mess). The rack and I are fine, however, over $17k in body damage (fortunately no mechanical), so it is highly likely the insurance company will total the vehicle. I've already let them (the body shop) that the rack is coming with ME if they do decide to total it!! No kidding! If they do decide to total it, I plan on getting a newer version of the Honda CR-V with crossbars, so the rack should fit on it perfectly as well. After the accident, I checked the rack and it was on solid tight. It's a fine piece of work. Like I said I love it. With THAT said, the cargo bag I purchased through Amazon separated at the seams below the zipper rendering it non-waterproof. I'm trying to get them to work with me on a replacement or a repair would even work, but I'm past the return date. Only used it the 2x. Anyway, if you sell a cargo bag the fits my rack, I'll be looking to you for one, if I can't get my money back. Thanks for checking in with me. I recommend this rack to all my friends (lots of outdoor adventurers here in the PNW), and I've actually received many compliments on it. Someone at work even compared it to another vehicle's rack out in the parking lot, and mentioned how obvious it was that my Rhino Rack was in another league (in a good way)! LOL! Best regard, Jacqueline Roselli

@JacquelineR I am really glad to hear you are alright that does not sound like a fun thing to go through. That is the most important thing! Knowing you are all good it is great to hear the rack is solid as well. Definitely take that with you, and we do carry cargo bags. I am not sure what kind or brand you got previously but the Rhino Rack # RRLB200 is a solid choice. A little up there in price but I think after taking a look you'll think it's worth it. Pair that with the basket and it'll look really nice. I was just up in the PNW for around 2 weeks a month ago, first time there and it was unbelievable. I plan to go back as soon as possible; I couldn't believe it. I am glad you gave this feedback, and I hope you are able to get back out there quickly and keep exploring that beautiful side of the country.
