Can I Upgrade My 35A Converter to an 80A Converter for Lithium Batteries?

Question:
I have a progressive Dynamics PD 4135 power center that currently has a 35 amp converter. Id like to upgrade the converter as it takes far too long to charge my 200 amp hour lithium battery bank, but keep the power center in place for AC breakers/ DC distribution panel and fuses. Can I simply disable the converter in this power center by removing the charge line to the battery and add the PD89RR instead? Does any of the AC wiring need to be up sized from a typical 15a circuit to accommodate the PD89RR?

Hey Arik, thanks for reaching out!
Since the 80A Progressive Dynamics 9300 Series RV Converter Charger # PD89RR is rated quite a bit higher than the current 35A converter in your setup, you'll have to swap over the entire power center to something with a higher rating like the 75A # PD4575K18LS8 or 90A # PD4590K18LS8.
This is something we've reached out to Progressive Dynamics about in the past and they've said the whole power center needs an upgrade in order to do this safely. You won't need to upgrade the wiring though.
Are you planning on installing this on your own?
