Reese Goose Box for 2017 Springdale SG278

Hi, Robin H recommended the Lippert 1621 - 16,000 lbs RP94716 for my trailer. I am not finding this product on the website. thanks, mike

Hey Mike, welcome back! Since I last responded to you they phased out the 94716 and the last of the stock ran out. It has been replaced with the # RP85FR so that is what you will need now for your 2017 Springdale SG278. Let me know if you need anything else.

Hey Mike, did the new Goose Box adapter work out for your Springdale? I’d love to know how it went, as it could help others in a similar situation.

@RobinH The hitch is a little difficult to install because of the way the Springdale pin box support is constructed. This means it is not possible to use the upper mounting holes which would be the optimum for level trailer pulling. The shop I took it to was able to use the next set of holes and even though it is a little high in the front when pulling, it pulls beautifully and the air ride makes for a much better ride. The best thing is I no longer have to remove the 200 lb Demco sliding hitch it replaced. I am very happy with the new goose box adapter. best regards, Mike
