Question:

Someone tried breaking into my Pacific Coachworks Blazen RV and damaged the locking mechanism on several baggage door latches. they are RV Dedign Trimark T517 models with no plunger. what can I use as a replacement for them? if I can not find originals.

Hello Martin, thanks for reaching out. Really sorry to hear that happened. Hopefully nothing was stolen and you and your family are safe.

I looked up the Trimark T517 and it appears to be a 5-1/4" tall 4-3/4" wide baggage door latch with no plunger. We do have a similar size latch, the Global Link # 295-000015, but this has a standard plunger. We do not offer any of the non-plunger style latches.

Hi Jessie, thanks for checking on this. I am having issues finding the latch unit without a plunger. My latches are located nean the middle-lower part of the door and use metal "push/pull" rods to activate the plunger. I can send pics if that helps? thanks, martin

@Martinj Yea the non-plunger style latches are not common. You can email pictures to me at [email protected] and I am happy to take a look, no guarantee we would have anything for you though. Typically I would not do this but I did a quick google search for the Trimark T517 lock and it looks like a popular website named after a South American jungle has them. Not that I want to send you there but if you need a direct replacement it looks like it would be possible to get them.
