Will etrailer Electric A-Frame Jack Allow Truck Tailgate to Fold Down
Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 05/04/2025 >
Question:
I have a 2020 Keystone Passport trailer and use a 2021 RAM to pull it. Does the e23ZV leave enough space to allow me to open my trucks tailgate when Im hitched up?

Hey Matt, that is going to depend on a few things that I don't have a way to know now but what you can do is open your tailgate now and see if the tailgate goes over the current manual jack you have now or if there's a decent distance between the jack and tailgate. If so, then this # e23ZV will work. If not, then as-is it wouldn't allow your tailgate to open but with a longer ball mount that what you have now you'd be good.

Hey Matt, did you have a chance to check if your tailgate clears the current manual jack when open? I'm curious to know how it worked out for you, as it could help others with similar setups.
