The RetraxPRO MX Hard Tonneau Cover - Retractable - Aluminum - Matte Black # RT80384 is for Ford trucks.
For your 2016 Ram 1500 with 8' bed you will want the RetraxPRO MX Hard Tonneau Cover - Retractable - Aluminum - Matte Black # RT80233.
I do not have one set up to go measure, but here are the measurements:
96.3 inches (bed length) - 13.75 inches (canister depth) = 82.55 inches of useable bed, or the length off the actual cover when it is in use. The cover itself would cover your entire bed, so 96.3".
A nice thing about the RetraxPRO MX Hard Tonneau Cover is the cover can be secured at any point along the rails, offering flexibility for various cargo sizes.
