Could Ford Factory Rail Kit be Potentially Used for Camper Attachment
Updated 09/26/2025 | Published 04/20/2025 >
Question:
Crazy question - Im building a custom camper for my F350 Super Duty. What is your opinion on using the Ford puck system for mounting the camper? Thinking about using the adapter and incorporating that into the camper frame with a hatch in the floor to access the latches.

Hey George, if you could find a way to make it work it would actually be probably a really great attachment point using the # RP30156 since it attaches directly to the frame and has plenty of towing capacity. I am not sure how you'd get in there to lock the pucks once seated in the rail kit though but if you can solve that problem it wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

Hey George, did you manage to find a way to lock the pucks once seated in the rail kit for your camper build? I'm curious to know how it worked out, as it could help others considering a similar setup.
