Question:
What are the dimensions of the 6201 base? L X W X H? With and without the post! I need to know because I need to go pickup one and I need to know which vehicle it will fit in. It has the 5th wheel head on it. Do I need tools to remove that and the post? thanks!

Hey Michael, the Demco Recon base part # DM6201 measures 30-1/2 inches wide by 28 inches long. I'll have to email Demco to get the height dimensions but in the meantime does the fifth wheel trailer you are planning on purchasing have a fifth wheel hitch head already attached to it? That's pretty unique if so, do you happen to know what hitch head it is for sure as that would be how you'd need to match up to what you'd need.

My trailer has been converted to gooseneck to match up to my dually hitch. I wanted to get a 5th wheel hitch that would attach to my gooseneck hitch in my dually, in case I had to pull another 5th wheel, unexpectedly. Family, and some friends have 5th wheel campers so I am always on standby in case of breakdowns! I bought a 6201 base with the 5th wheel attachment already on it. I have to go almost 300 miles to pick it up. I did not know it was so far away when I bought it but, I have plenty of time to go after it. I was wanting to fly over in a small plane to pick it up but, it will not fit in the plane. Now I need to know if I can get it into the trunk of a 2020 camaro. It should fit if it isn't too tall with, or without the post installed. That is the measurement I am waiting on. I guess I could have called them direct, but I thought you might know. Thanks, for the info. Michael
