Hello, I’m wondering if the B&W patriot 18k slider hitch has to have a rail mount or does it have feet to fit in a factory installed “puck” type bed mount.

There's actually a couple different ways you can mount the Patriot slider in your 2014 Ford F-350, either with standard base rails, or an adapter if your F-350 has the puck system. The Patriot doesn't have feet to fit in the pucks, but the adapter does and you'd put the Patriot directly in that. So, here is what you can use:

- B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider - Dual Jaw - 18,000 lbs # BWRVK3270

- Without Puck System: B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails # BWRVK2401
OR
- With Puck System: Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch - Ford and Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C88KR

The adapter rails say "for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch" but will work with any standard hitch. What these do is essentially give your F-350 standard base rails to use a hitch that does not fit directly in the puck system, like the Patriot.

The only other thing you may need if you don't have one is a 5th wheel wiring harness, the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C56070.
