Question:

Hi, I just bought the CURT 13485 Class 3 Trailer Hitch, 2-Inch Receiver for my 2023 KIA Sportage EX Hybrid. Can it be use with a 2007 SeaDoo Jetski and a single trailer weighting in total around 1,400lbs? Also, what electrical set do you recommend for it? Thanks!

Hey Diego, yes the Curt hitch part # C94WR that fits your 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid would be able to tow a trailer that weighs 1,400 lbs like you are looking for. This hitch has a capacity of 3,500 lbs and it looks like your vehicle is rated for up to 1,653 lb.

For trailer wiring you'd want the Tekonsha kit part # TK32VR as it's very easy to install and also has the most reliable converter box of the kits available.

@Diego Yeah that will work too. In past we preferred the Tekonsha kits but the Curt # C99DR that you got will also work well. Our part number C99DR is the same as the Curt 56474.
