Recommended Eaz-Lift ReCurve R3 for a Lance Trailer with 710 lbs Loaded Tongue Weight
Question:
I am looking at getting a new EAZ-Lift R3 towing system. I am pulling a 24foot nose to bumper travel trailer Lance 1995 with a 21 Toyota Tundra. The last CAT scale I took it to measured the trailer as weighing 5,600 lbs when loaded during active travel and my packed tongue weight is around 710 lbs not counting the weight of my present towing system. What are the proper spring bars to order?

Hey Martin, it's great to hear from you again!
If I were in your shoes I'd go with the Eaz-Lift ReCurve R3 rated for 1,000 lbs of tongue weight so you're able to still load a few things up in your truck bed (behind your rear axle) and not overload the system. A weight distribution kit isn't added into the tongue weight since it's part of the solution, so you'll just need to make sure your 710 lbs of tongue weight and cargo behind the rear axle don't exceed 1,000 lbs.
We don't carry the Eaz-Lift ReCurve R3 systems, but for a comparable option I recommend checking out the Blue Ox TrackPro # BLU55FR. It has roughly the same weight range and is pretty easy to set up.
