Ratings & Reviews
Awesome product.Solved the common problem of short cycling of Furrion AC's.Moved the temperature sensor to the thermostat and out of the Ac housing
Exact fit and fast shipping. Thank you Etrailer!
This controller in combination with the new thermostat, provides room temperature control instead of return air temperature control which works much better while at the beach with no shade. Lippert support said all future AC units will use room temperature control instead of return air control. I am thrilled the new thermostat and controller are backward compatible for older AC units. Installation was easy. Instructions were useful.
Paid more to have part quickly before a trip and the tracker use sucks does give the tracking number so when ups had a issue I was still waiting for the part.
Last year I ordered a Furrion a/c replacement for my Dometic a/c using the existing controller and thermostat… after a month or so every once in a while my air conditioner would trip the breaker. Had to go through an extensive Furrion warranty documentation, many phone calls to Furrion and in the end they said there was nothing wrong with the unit. Found out through a forum that my old Dometic controller and thermostat was the problem. Others have had the same problem. Replacing the Dometic controller and thermostat with Furrion parts fixed the problem. That said… I’m very happy with my purchase the new unit is great… lesson learned.
For the most part it works. This was second one I’ve ordered. Ordered new one because freeze sensor didn’t work and everyday I’d come back from work it would be frozen. But you can’t just buy the sensor. And after about 6 months it stops controlling the furnace. Eventually used the wires to wire in a standalone furnace thermostat next to Furrion one and bought an aftermarket freeze sensor and added it. To get it warrantied I’d have to send it in and be without HVAC for who knows how long
