Will the curt 52025 also work to keep the battery charged on a towed car behind a motorhome?

Hey Norman, the Replacement Charger for Curt Soft Trac I and II Trailer Breakaway Kits # C52025 is meant to just charge your breakaway battery, so to keep your towed battery charged you'd want the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 instead.

This kit also wires into your 6 or 7-way and provides a trickle charge to keep your battery from draining.
